TENS-LAITTEET
Aktiivinen synnytys ry vuokraa synnytykseen tarkoitettuja Elle TENS -laiteita osana yhdistyksen varainkeruuta jo vuosien kokemuksella. Vuokraustoimintaa hoitaa yhdistyksen vapaaehtoiset ympäri Suomen. Vuokran hinta on yhdistyksen jäsenille 35 € ja muille 40 €. Vuokra-aika alkaa kaksi viikkoa ennen laskettua aikaa ja laite palautetaan mahdollisimman pian synnytyksen jälkeen. Laite varataan vuokrausvastaavilta, joiden yhteystiedot löydät kunkin paikkakunnan sivulta. Kun vuokrausvastaava on vahvistanut sinulle vuokrauksen, maksat vuokran yhdistyksen verkkokaupassa.
Mikä TENS on?
TENS on lyhenne sanoista Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation. Selkään kiinnitettävien elektrodilappujen välityksellä laite antaa pieniä sähköimpulsseja. Impulssit vaikuttavat hermostoon ja vaikeuttavat kipuviestien kulkeutumista aivoihin. Lisäksi ne lisäävät synnytystä edistäviä endorfiineja. Laitetta voi käyttää synnytyksen alusta loppuun asti. Suihkussa tai ammeessa laitetta ei voi käyttää. TENS-laitea on lääkkeetön kivunlievityskeino, jolla ei oikein käytettynä ole todettu olevan sivuvaikutuksia. RENTING A TENS UNIT

DO NOT PAY POSTAL FEES THROUGH THE WEB STORE. Select ”Ei postitettavaa” (”Nothing to be posted”) as the delivery method. We will not return postal fees accidentally paid through the web store.
You can also purchase an Aktiivinen synnytys ry membership at the same time, in which case you will receive all member benefits. Further details in the product description for ”Membership” (”Jäsenyys ” – only in Finnish). You can also purchase items in the same order to be sent via post. In this case, select the delivery method for the products you wish to be posted, such as jewelry or reflector.

RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
NB! TENS units are reserved via email through a TENS renter (the renters and reservation calendars for each area are available at www.aktiivinensynnytys.fi). Please only pay the rent when you have received confirmation from the renter that they have a TENS unit available around your due date.
The rental fee for the TENS unit is €35 for members of Aktiivinen synnytys ry and €40 for non-members. If you aren’t a member yet, but would like to rent a TENS unit at the member rate, purchase a membership at the same time as you pay the rental fee in the web store.
By paying the rental fee you accept the following terms and conditions.
If your due date is over three weeks away, make the payment within a week of receiving confirmation from the renter that a TENS unit is available during the time that you need it. Send the order confirmation from the web store to the renter as proof of payment. If the payment is not carried out within a week of making a reservation, the reservation will expire and the unit will become available to others.
If your due date is less than three weeks away, carry out the payment immediately. Send the order confirmation from the web store to the renter as proof of payment. You will receive an email message from the web store: ”Tilaus toimitettu” (”Order delivered”). This is to confirm the processing of the orders and purchases carried out at the web store. The message does not mean that the TENS unit has been sent.
The rental is binding. The rental fee will be returned only if the TENS unit is not received by the renter in time through the fault of Aktiivinen synnytys ry, or if the unit is defective and the defect is reported immediately. The fee will not be reimbursed under any other circumstances.
Please remember to notify the renter immediately if you do not need the unit after all. In this way, the unit will become available to the next person who needs it. The fee will not, however, be reimbursed in this case.
The customer commits to reading the terms and conditions of rental as well as the instructions for use of the TENS unit. The rental is personal. The TENS unit may only be used by the person whose information has been given in the web store.
The TENS unit should not be used if you have a pacemaker, if you have cardiovascular disease, or if you have epilepsy. If you are even a little bit unsure whether the unit is suitable for you, consult your doctor before using it, preferably before making the reservation.
The Elle Babycare TENS unit may only be used from the 37th week of pregnancy onwards.
The rental time for the unit starts two weeks before the due date and ends two weeks after the due date. The unit may be kept until the birth. If the baby has not been born at 42+0 weeks, please contact the renter of the unit as soon as possible to extend the rental period until the birth. In all cases the unit should be returned as soon as possible after the birth.
The unit is picked up from the renter or delivered by post.
If the customer wants to receive the unit by post, the postal fees (S package, in accordance with the price list of Posti) shall be first paid directly to Posti, and send information to the renter. The customer shall pick up the unit from the post office or be liable to pay the additional fees charged by Posti for not picking it up, as well as possible expenses incurred by the delay to the organization.
The unit should be returned as soon as possible after the birth (agree on a time and place with the renter). If the unit is to be returned by post, the tracking code should be given to the renter immediately.
If the TENS unit is not returned in time, we will charge 10€ per each beginning week until the unit is returned. If the unit is not returned at all, we will charge the customer the real value of the unit, €94.00.
The rental fee shall not be returned if the unit is not used, not even in the case that the fee is paid and the baby is born prematurely before the start of the rental period.
The TENS unit is tested before it is delivered to the customer and its condition is faultless. If the unit is faulty, please contact the renter immediately.
Upon receiving the TENS unit, the customer should inspect the contents of the package. The customer is responsible for checking the contents of the package and notifying the renter of possible faults or defects immediately. If this is not done, the organization is not obligated to provide a refund.
